Company Summary:

The Coca-Cola Company is an American multinational beverage corporation incorporated under Delaware’s General Corporation Law and based in Atlanta, Georgia. The Coca-Cola Company has interests in the manufacturing, retailing, and marketing of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups. The company’s stock is listed on the NYSE and part of the DJIA and the S&P 500 and S&P 100 indexes.

The company was started in 1886 by pharmacist John Stith Pemberton. He invented a drink that was advertised as helpful in relieving headache and sold primarily in drugstores as a medicinal beverage. Come 1889, the formula and brand were sold for $2,300 to Asa Griggs Candler, who incorporated the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta in 1892. The name “Coca-Cola” may be credited to Pemberton’s bookkeeper, Frank M. Robinson. He chose the name mainly for the drink’s two main ingredients: coca leaves and kola nuts.

The Coca-Cola Company has a diverse, global community of people who constantly thirst for more. They provide their people a Total Rewards package which is the total value of working with the company. It is focused on the complete package to support that employees receive as an employee.
