Company Summary:

The Toyota Motor Corporation, or better known as Toyota, is a Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer based in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. Toyota is the biggest automobile manufacturer in the world followed by Volkswagen, based on 2020 unit sales. Toyota paves the way in the market in sales of hybrid electric vehicles. They are also a market-leader in hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles. Over the years, TMC has introduced a variety of unique vehicles, including the first mass-produced hybrid vehicle, the world’s first production gasoline-electric vehicle, the world’s first mass-produced hydrogen vehicle, and the first production vehicle with a full suite of autonomous safety features.

Did You Know?

It was in 1924 when Sakichi Toyoda invented the Toyoda Model G Automatic Loom. Vehicles were originally sold under the name “Toyoda”, from the surname of the company’s founder, Kiichirō Toyoda. Rizaburo Toyoda married into the family and was not born with the name “Toyoda”.  She preferred “Toyota” because it took eight (lucky number) brush strokes to write in Japanese, visually simpler, and with a voiceless consonant instead of a voiced one. Apparently, voiced consonants are considered to have “muddy” sound compared to voiceless consonants, which are “clear”. The newly formed word was trademarked and the company was soon registered in August 1937 as the Toyota Motor Company.

Final Company Statement

Toyota’s team members drive the organization’s growth and success and they are rewarded for both individual and organizational results with compensation, benefits, and different programs. Several of their options may be tailored to fit the team member’s lifestyle and assist them in reaching their goals at every shift in their career. The Toyota Motor Corporation values and mission are deeply rooted in their culture and are built on the backs of their people. Toyota’s values include honesty, integrity, and hard work. They guide everything they do, from their product development process to business practices. They help the company to create a better world for their employees, customers, and communities.
