Did You Know?

Accenture started as a business and technology consulting section of Arthur Andersen, an accounting firm in the early 1950s. It happened as a result of a feasibility study for General Electric to install a computer at Appliance Park in Louisville, Kentucky. This led to the installation of a UNIVAC I computer and printer, which happened to be the first commercial use of a computer in the US.  The names changed from Administrative Services to Andersen Consulting to Accenture in 2000. In recent years, Accenture has seen significant growth, both in terms of revenue and market share.

Final Company Statement:

People in Accenture invest their time and talent daily to bring results and transform organizations. It requires people to be at their best both professionally and personally. This is why Accenture is committed to investing on their people with programs, resources, and the support that they require. Accenture is also committed to sustainability and diversity, with programs and initiatives aimed at reducing its environmental impact and promoting equal opportunities for its employees. Accenture’s purpose is to deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity to help clients improve their performance and create value for their stakeholders.
