A number of the Clover Health Plans provide extra benefits and amenities that are not covered under Medicare.  These are services like dental, eyewear, and hearing aids.  An additional benefit that is inclusive in it is a monthly allowance available for over the counter (OTC) medications and supplies.  You may contact the company directly if you wish to find out the exact amount that is available for you.

It would be great to know if your Clover plan is inclusive of a quarterly allowance which you may use if you need to purchase a few over-the-counter medicines and supplies like digestive health treatments, allergy medication, pain relievers, first aid supplies, and many more.  If this is available in your benefit, you may refer to your Evidence of Coverage to know about your quarterly allowance.

What is the OTC Benefit?

As members of a Clover Health Plan that is a PPO, HMO with a Medicare contract, will receive a predetermined allowance or dollar amount that is reserved for the over-the-counter benefit that is given every quarter.  This privilege enables the members to get OTC products that may require.  They just have to make sure that their benefit is consumed before the end of every quarter as any remaining allowance will not roll over.

  • Visit any participating OTCHS CVS store.
  • Look for the blue labels identifying eligible products. Note: Prices may vary from those listed in the catalog.
  • Go to any store register to check out and show your Clover member ID card to the cashier. Be sure to check out at a store register, not the pharmacy. You only need your Clover ID card; there is no OTC benefit card for this benefit.

Return Policy: Due to the personal nature of the products, no returns or exchanges are allowed. Where can I find my member ID number?

Find it on the front of your Clover Health ID card. IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind, you will not be issued a separate OTC ID card for this benefit. To access your benefits online, over the phone or at a participating store please be ready to provide your Clover Health ID card.

Can I track my order?

Yes. You may opt in to receive tracking information via email or text; simply advise an agent when placing your order over the phone. For online orders, an email will be sent with tracking information. For IVR orders, you can speak to a live agent to get this information or register online to receive it via email.

How will the items be shipped? How long will it take to receive my order?

The use USPS or FedEx to ship your items to your home at no charge to you. It takes a minimum of 14 days for delivery but delivery times are subject to change. The delivery time will be provided at the time the order is placed.

REMINDER: Unused benefit amounts will not roll over to the next quarter. Benefit periods end on the following dates:

  • Quarter 1: January 1 – March 31
  • Quarter 2: April 1 – June 30
  • Quarter 3: July 1 – September 30
