Tyson Foods Inc is an American multinational corporation that operates in the food industry. They are the worlds second largest marketer and processor of beef, chicken, and pork. It operates major food brands which include Ball Park, Jimmy Dean, State Fair, Wright Brand, Hillshire Farm, and Aidells. Other brands include Sara Lee, Bosco’s, Wright Brand, Landshire, Russer, Pierre, Reuben, Original Philly, Chairman’s Reserve, and much more. They are a modern, protein focused, multinational company that has a variety of foodservice customers, hospitals, schools, nursing homes, military bases, and international customers as well.

Tyson Foods was established by John W. Tyson in 1935 in Arkansas. The company began during the Great Depression when John Tyson moved his family to Springdale, Arkansas for new opportunities. He began to deliver chickens to larger markets in the Midwest. His son, Don Tyson joined the company as general manager and took the company public in 1963. The company begins an odyssey of acquisitions that grows the company in every direction. Throughout the 1990s, the company enters new markets worldwide such as the Caribbean, Central America, the Pacific Rim, Asia, and South America. Today, Tyson has more than 30 brands to their name.
