Company Summary:

The Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) is a publicly traded diversified energy company with headquarters in Newark, New Jersey. PSEG’s largest subsidiary is Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G). PSEG is a regulated gas and electric utility company serving the state of New Jersey. The company has long been key to fueling New Jersey’s economy while supporting their quality of life.

PSEG/PSE&G has origins that date back to 1903 with the non-operational Public Service Corporation. It functioned by combining over 400 gas, electric, and transportation companies in New Jersey. It was in 1928 when the corporation merged its electric and gas utilities into a single company, which is PSE&G. The parent Public Service Corporation was then dissolved in 1948 and PSE&G turned into an independent company. PSE&G reorganized in 1985 and created a new company called the Public Service Enterprise Group to function as the holding company for PSE&G, making it the owner of PSE&G.

PSEG acknowledges the fact that taking care of their customers always start with taking care of their people. This is the reason why their people are provided with one of the most valuable, flexible, and comprehensive benefits programs in the industry.
