PepsiCo is an American multinational snack, beverage, and food corporation. It was founded 123 years ago, on August 28, 1898 in New Bern, North Carolina, United States. Pepsi is a soft drink developed by Caleb Bradham, a businessman and pharmacist from Duplin County, North Carolina, he marketed the drink from his pharmacy where it gained popularity where he founded the Pepsi Cola Company in 1902. During World War I, sugar rationing damaged the company greatly and Brandham had to declare bankruptcy. Within the same year 1923, the trademark and secret recipe was purchased by Craven Holding Corporation. In 1965, Pepsi Cola Company merged with Frito-Lay, forming PepsiCo Inc.
