Company Summary:

Mondelez International, Inc., often referred to as Mondelēz, is an American multinational confectionary, food, holding and beverage and snack food company with headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. It has an annual revenue of about $26 billion and is operating in about 160 countries. Mondelez manufactures brands of cookies and crackers like Chips Ahoy!, Ritz, Oreo, Cadbury. They also carry other brands of gums and cough drop as well as powdered beverages.

Mondelez started off as Kraft Foods in 1923 in Chicago. The current enterprise was established in 2012 as Kraft spun-off the grocery, and snack food businesses later on adopting the name Mondelez as proposed by employees. The name is derived from the Latin word “mundus”, meaning “world”, and delez, a fancy modification of the word “delicious”.
