Company Summary:

Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings, or better known as LabCorp, is an American company based in Burlington, North Carolina. The company operates one of the largest clinical laboratory networks globally, with a network of 36 primary labs in the US. LabCorp conducts its biggest volume of specialty testing at their Center for Esoteric Testing located in their headquarters. The lab processes about 2.5 million lab tests weekly.

The company ran under the name Roche BioMedical before a merger with National Health Laboratory in 1995. They pioneered genomic testing using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology, at the company’s Center for Molecular Biology and Pathology in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. They also conduct oncology testing, HIV genotyping, and phenotyping. LabCorp received emergency use authorization from the FDA for testing 2019-nCov to help make the COVID-19 pandemic less severe. LabCorp is also among the six large commercial lab companies that perform most of the country’s corona virus testing.

LabCorp has deftly created their benefits programs with their employees in mind. They provide a vast range of benefit programs to their employees, benefits that are both comprehensive and competitive within the industry.
