The college was founded in 1852 as Tufts College by Christian universalists that sought to provide a nonsectarian institution of higher learning. It traces back to the 1940s when the Universalist Church wanted to open a college in New England. Charles Tuft then donated 20 acres to the church in 1852, which helped them achieve their goal. In 1892, Tufts Board of Trustees voted the college be opened to women in the undergraduate departments. Tufts remained a small New England liberal arts college until the 1970s, it transformed into a large research university that offers several doctorates. Tufts University is classified as a Research I university which denotes the highest level of research activity.

  2. Select the “eServe” button found under the “Quick Access” tab. Then select the “Forgot your Tufts Username or Password?” button.

  4. Continue to move forward and provide every important information that is asked of you to access your account online.
